... there yes I have exactly the same problem I believe mine occurred after loading the latest version of Nero I did not set a restore point so cant go back :) Do you have a similar problem with the stocks gadget if you drop it on the sidebar it dissapears ? I upgraded to the latest Nero & don't have this problem.

... I rarely use the search functions of GD, I use it soley for the sidebar so I can track my rss feeds, weather, stocks and system resources. So the X1 software doesn't I've played with the Vista Gadget Bar but the RSS module is very small, I like the majority of my sidebar to be dedicated to my rss feeds.
